RDS in multi-million deal to host Leinster matches

The Royal Dublin Society (RDS) is to sign a multimillion euro deal to host Leinster rugby matches for the duration of the redevelopment of Lansdowne Road.

The deal, which is expected to be completed within the next two weeks, comes after months of negotiations between Leinster officials and RDS management. The initial contract is set to cover a two-year period, with the possibility of a further oneyear extension.

Leinster played most of their games last season at the RDS, but moved back to Lansdowne Road this year, due to renovations at the Ballsbridge venue. It is increasing capacity to 20,000, installing...
