RBS has started talks on finding an investor for Ulster Bank, according to a report this morning.

RBS has started talks on finding an investor for Ulster Bank, according to a report this morning.

Royal Bank of Scotland is already in discussions with private equity firms about a possible investment in Ulster Bank, according to the report in the Irish Examiner, which cited an unidentified person familiar with the situation.

A conclusion to a deal is possible before the bank releases second quarter earnings in July or August, said the report.
