RBS is told to sell stake in Ulster Bank

Royal Bank of Scotland has been formally advised by Morgan Stanley that it should sell a majority stake in Ulster Bank.

Royal Bank of Scotland has been formally advised by Morgan Stanley that it should sell a majority stake in Ulster Bank.

An announcement could be made as early as this week, *The Sunday Business Post*understands, and could trigger a formal bidding process.

Both RBS and Ulster Bank, however, insists that all possibilities are still on the table, emphasising that there was no fixed timetable for dealing with Ulster Bank.
