A new wave of free albums from major bands is set to hit the music industry.

But as Radiohead and Prince distribute albums free online and through newspaper giveaways, major Irish artists are unlikely to follow suit, according to Irish music label executives.

Last week, Radiohead began accepting pre-orders for its latest album, In Rainbows, exclusively on their website (radiohead.com).
