They say that journalists should never interview other journalists. A good rule in the main, but one which can sometimes be flouted if there’s interesting dialogue to be had.

Maureen Dowd of the New York Times, in town for the Obama/ Moneygall business, was introduced on The Dunphy Show (Newstalk 106-108) as ‘‘one of the great American journalists’’, which is maybe half-true.
