Rabbitte will have ‘serious difficulties’ over FF decision

The Labour Party and not Pat Rabbitte will decide whether to enter a government with Fianna Fail in the event of a hung Dail after the next election, according to a senior figure in the Labour Party.

Pat Magner, who recently retired as national organiser of the Labour Party, said the party leader Pat Rabbitte will have ‘‘serious difficulties’’ as a result of a personal commitment not to serve with Fianna Fail, if the numbers don’t stack up for an alternative government of Fine Gael and Labour.
