Rabbitte seeking deal to supply Britain with energy

Energy Minister Pat Rabbitte said he hopes to get down to the “nuts and bolts” of an agreement to supply Britain with electricity at a meeting on June 20th.

“Some players of scale” have already expressed their interest in an energy deal between Ireland and Britain.

Ireland is working to become an export market for renewable energy, tapping rich wind resources to supply power-hungry Britain.

Energy Minister Pat Rabbitte told Bloomberg’s Clean Energy & Carbon Brief that he hopes the two governments get down to the “nuts and bolts” of an agreement at their meeting on June 20th.
