Quinn Direct gets strong response to taxi insurance

Quinn Direct Insurance, the firm owned by billionaire Sean Quinn, is receiving 3,000 queries a month from taxi drivers after entering the market in competition with Axa and Allianz.

Quinn Direct Insurance, the firm owned by billionaire Sean Quinn, is receiving 3,000 queries a month from taxi drivers after entering the market in competition with Axa and Allianz.

The firm is attempting to break the hold of Axa and Allianz, which offer discounted insurance to taxi drivers who are members of the National Taxi Drivers Union (NTDU). The union also shares its offices with Aon, which is an underwriter for Allianz.
