Quinn administrators to make €1 billion claim against auditor

The administrators of Quinn Insurance are to seek some €1 billion in damages from the company's former auditors, PwC, in a major court challenge.

The administrators of Quinn Insurance are to seek some €1 billion in damages from the company's former auditors, PwC, in a major court challenge. The administrators will seek to have the case admitted to the Commercial Court, a division of the High Court, tomorrow.

The administrators will claim that PwC was negligent in its auditing work. The claim relates to its treatment of the cross guarantees between Quinn Insurance and other Quinn group companies. The...
