Question of Money

Paying import duty on goods for re-sale

15th August, 2009

Dilemma

I have my own small business, and was thinking about importing some goods from the US and the Far East for re-sale.

I haven’t had to pay import duty before, as I normally buy from trade fairs in Europe where no import duty is payable. Can you please tell me what percentage import duty is payable on these goods and, secondly, when and how do I make that money payable to the Revenue Commissioners?...
