The country's fisheries quango is planning a new salmon breeding visitors centre even though another one is in the pipeline in the same county.

Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) has paid €3,400 to consultants to carry out a study into the proposed new salmon hatchery visitors' centre in Cong in Mayo.
