A €36 million PRSI incentive scheme designed to boost employment has yet to come into effect, despite having been unveiled by the government six months ago.

The government announced details for the scheme, which was to provide an incentive for companies to take on new staff, in last December’s budget.

However, the scheme has yet to come into force, despite being highlighted by enterprise minister Batt O’Keeffe last week as a key government...
