Providence shares surge 5% after Barryroe update

Shares in Providence Resources rose by as much as five per cent in London trading after the company said its Barryroe oil field off the Cork coast could contain up to four times as much oil as previously expected.

Providence shares jump after Barryroe update

Shares in Providence Resources rose by as much as five per cent in London trading after the company said its Barryroe oil field off the Cork coast could contain up to four times as much oil as previously expected.

By 08:05 am the shares, which are traded on London's Alternative Investment Market (AIM), were up 32 pence to 682.5 pence per share, a rise of five per cent.
