Providence Resources has announced that it sees further gas potential at the Slyne Basin off the west coast.

The basin contains two separate prospects that are located 10 kilometres and 20 kilometres south west of the existing Corrib field, a statement from the company said. It recently announced very positive results from its test drilling for oil off the coast of Cork, causing strong rises in its share price.
