Protestors close Dublin bank branch

The O’Connell Street branch of Bank of Ireland was forced to close today after protestors occupied the building to stage a protest.

The O’Connell Street branch of Bank of Ireland was forced to close today after protestors occupied the building to stage a protest.

The protesters, who identified themselves as being from the Occupy Dame Street movement, entered the building around lunchtime and reports say that some remain in the building. The bank said it closed the branch in the interest of safety for its customers and staff.
