More than 4,000 people are expected to protest outside the Labour Party's conference in Galway next weekend.

More than 4,000 people are expected to protest outside the Labour Party's conference in Galway next weekend.

The campaign against the household charge is likely to draw 3,000 protesters, plus a further 1,000 protesters from the turf cutters' campaign expected to travel by coach and car to Galway on Saturday, according to organisers of the event.

There will also be protests from those campaigning against the septic tank issue, groups protesting against cuts to rural schools, and representatives...
