Property tax “most visible challenge” says Revenue chairman

Revenue has published its annual report for 2012 today, which reported that almost €37 billion in tax and duties was collected last year.

The “most visible challenge” for the Revenue Commissioners in 2013 will be the administration of the new local property tax, according to Josephine Feehily, chairman of the Revenue Commissioners.

Revenue has published its annual report for 2012 today, which reported that almost €37 billion in tax and duties was collected last year. Net receipts for 2012 stood at €36.7 billion, up 7.1 per cent on 2011.
