The Revenue Commissioners are wading through tens of thousands of items of correspondence from property owners in relation to unpaid property tax bills.

The Revenue Commissioners are wading through tens of thousands of items of correspondence from property owners in relation to unpaid property tax bills.

The tax authority wrote to almost 300,000 property owners in April, after a six-week compliance campaign, advising them that they were on the household charge arrears database and had just 14 days to settle their account or else face penalties, such as a mandatory deduction from their salary of the amount due.
