Gerry Gannon, the property developer who co-owns the K Club in Kildare, has bought development land worth €26.5 million from the upmarket golf resort.
Gannon and Michael Smurfit bought the Kildare golf club, which hosted last year’s Ryder Cup, in June 2005 from the then Jefferson Smurfit Group for €115 million. As part of the deal, the businessman also acquired 100-acres of farmland adjoining the course.
