The Government is “already well advanced” with the EU and IMF troika on discussions to re-engineer promissory notes used to rescue Anglo Irish Bank, Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore said.

The Government is “already well advanced” with the EU and IMF troika on discussions to re-engineer promissory notes used to rescue Anglo Irish Bank, Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore said.

The country is “making progress” on this issue, Gilmore said in an interview with RTÉ television last night. Technical discussions with the troika “will come to a conclusion,” he said.
