Job vacancies rise

Professional job vacancies rose by eight per cent in February from the same month in 2012, according to the latest Morgan McKinley Irish Employment index.

Areas with jobs on offer included supply chain and engineering, while professionals who are able to speak two or more languages fluently were also well served.

Month-on-month there was a six per cent decrease in job availability while the number of professionals looking for new job opportunities remained relatively flat.
