Private sector organisations and businesses are to be asked to fund a new tourism marketing body for Dublin city and county.

*The Sunday Business Post* revealed last October that Dublin Tourism would be merged with Fáilte Ireland, which was confirmed on December 30. However, members of the board of the Dublin Regional Tourism Authority [Dublin Tourism] want to set up a promotional entity that would have a specific focus on Dublin.
