Private firms to employ 1,000 people to retrain long-term jobless

Around 1,000 people are set to be employed to retrain the long-term unemployed in 100 offices around the country.

The ‘Job Path’ contract is designed to give better job-finding skills to the 115,000 people who have been out of work for more than a year. But it will also provide a substantial employment boost for the 100 city and town areas where the new trainers will be based.
