Private equity giants eye Project Achill loan book

Private equity behemoths Apollo, Blackstone, CarVal and Lone Star are all circling a €1.2 billion property loan book being auctioned by Ulster Bank, the bank’s biggest sale to date.

A host of big-name funds are finalising their bids this weekend, with the first bids for the Irish and British property loan book due in at the end of this week.
