Printing & Output: New ways to think about print

Managed print services is a fast growing sector as businesses strive to become more efficient with regard to both time and cost, writes Sheila Ryan.

In a climate where every business is striving to cut costs, printing is under imtense scrutiny. Figures from InfoSource show that total printer and multi-function printer (MFP) shipments in Ireland were 43,000 units in 2011 compared to 64,000 in 2006, down 33 per cent.

Customers are also reducing their spending on print supplies such as inks and toners.
