A month has passed since Pat Rabbitte disappointed The Irish Times by refusing to rule out entering government with Fianna Fail.

Two opinion polls have passed and, while the public has hardly flocked to his standard, there is no sign that they have been further repulsed either. Rabbitte has been celebrating his freedom from himself down at the Helix centre this weekend.

Thankfully for many Labour supporters, Rabbitte has seen the limitations of his 2002...
