Fr Shay Cullen, the Irish priest and human rights activist, is facing a possible jail term in the Philippines for exposing the rape and torture of young boys jailed in Filipino detention centres.

Cullen, 60, has twice been nominated for the Nobel Prize for his work in tackling the Filipino child sex industry and the mistreatment of underage prisoners in the country.
