Price for golf resort drops to €7 million

There is a strong appetite for prime Dublin hotels, but outside the capital things are slower, writes Michelle Devane.

The Blarney Golf Resort in Co Cork: on the market since 2008 when the asking price was €20 million.

CB Richard Ellis has slashed the asking price of the Blarney Golf Resort in Co Cork to €7 million in a bid to boost interest in the property.

The resort has been on the market since 2008, and in that time has had its asking priced reduced from €20 million to €12 million, to now, €7 million. It is for sale on the instructions of receiver Billy O'Riordan of PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
