Power of the trade unions

I cannot understand how anyone could suggest that trade union power is slipping (10/08/08). The very fact that hospital porters could get away with the skulduggery mentioned in the article proves that they are still immensely powerful.

I cannot understand how anyone could suggest that trade union power is slipping (10/08/08). The very fact that hospital porters could get away with the skulduggery mentioned in the article proves that they are still immensely powerful.

The porters in question are paid for by the taxpayer, yet we don’t hear any outcry from the media, no calls to impose sanctions, dismiss the culprits or even to name and shame them.
