Port firms to be questioned on future

Management at each of the state’s commercial port companies will be called before the Oireachtas Transport Committee in the new year to outline their plans for future development.

Management at each of the state’s commercial port companies will be called before the Oireachtas Transport Committee in the new year to outline their plans for future development.

The committee is planning to question port management about their success rates, export and import issues, and any capacity or infrastructure problems.

Management will also be quizzed on how they are developing synergies and cooperation agreements between different ports.
