Porcupine Basin's "time has come" says Petrel

Oil exploration company Petrel Resources is optimistic about its projects in the Porcupine Basin off the west coast saying that it is “an area whose time has come.”

Petrel said drilling at its Porcupine Basin prospect is likely to take place in 2017.

Oil exploration company Petrel Resources is optimistic about its projects in the Porcupine Basin off the west coast saying that it is “an area whose time has come.”

The company is actively preparing for the next offshore Ireland licensing round in 2015, it said today. Petrel has ongoing projects offshore Ireland, in Ghana and Iraq and is backed by industry veterans John Teeling and David Horgan.
