Independent TD Thomas Pringle admits that his main claim to fame is unseating sitting TD and Tánaiste Mary Coughlan in last year's general election.

But the Donegal South West TD will be a household name if his court action forces the government to hold a second referendum, on the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) treaty.
