Political instability in Poland has raised doubts about a smooth passage of the EU Reform Treaty, according to EU diplomatic sources.

A planned meeting of EU leaders in October aims to sign off on the EU Reform Treaty in Lisbon. However, events in Poland are presenting fresh obstacles for its progress to final ratification, sources believe.
