Furlong Investments, the carpet company owned by colourful Irish gambler Noel Furlong, more than trebled its pre-tax profits last year to €4 million.
Furlong, who has notched up more than €1 million at the poker table, saw his firm's turnover increase by €550,000 to €104 million for the year ending June 30, 2004, according to newly-filed accounts.
