Lovers of nature and the wild – as well as those who enjoy a pampering – will find much to interest them in Sligo, writes Susan Morrell
As someone for whom a holiday usually requires a passport and a change in time zone, I was a little sceptical about the prospect of a weekend break in Sligo. But my outlook changed when, after a 40-minute flight from Dublin, I found myself bathed in unadulterated sunlight and breathing air that I forgot existed in such refreshingly clean form.
