Irish poet and Nobel laureate Seamus Heaney left more than €500,000 in his will when he died last August.

Irish poet and Nobel laureate Seamus Heaney left more than €500,000 in his will when he died last August.

Records filed at the Probate Office in Dublin show that the poet, who hailed from Derry but lived in Dublin's Sandymount, left €511,853.

Heaney died on August 30, 2013, aged 74. He was survived by his wife and three children. He was born in Derry in April 1939, the eldest of nine children. His first major...
