Pod owner wins Quinn Direct flood claim

Concert promoter John Reynolds has be en awarded €105,000 plus costs in a High Court claim against insurance company Quinn Direct.

Concert promoter John Reynolds has be en awarded €105,000 plus costs in a High Court claim against insurance company Quinn Direct.

The judge in the case, Mr Justice Bryan McMahon, criticised Quinn Direct for not dealing with the claim in a fair and prompt manner. The case arose after Reynolds’s Pod nightclub on Harcourt Street in Dublin was flooded in both August and September 2006.

Fittings, furnishings and the building itself were badly damaged...
