Twenty-two years after the collapse of the Private Motorists Provident Society (PMPS), the liquidation of the internal PMPA 'quasi-bank' is at last drawing to a close.

Depositors of PMPS were informed by its liquidator, Bill Horgan, at a meeting last Monday that after paying all the money that was owed to them, there was still €443,000 left.
