There are significant opportunities for Irish food companies to get their products onto the shelves of Tesco's British stores, according to a senior buyer with the company.

Carmel-Anne Brennan, who is based at the firm's Irish head office in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, said there was a high level of awareness among Tesco's British buyers about the artisan nature of the food sector here.
