Playful works from a pop titan go under the hammer
George Michael and his partner Kenny Goss amassed a collection of leading-edge artworks that read like a snapshot of their time
The silly sums earned by pop stars can be manna from heaven for the art market - and charitable causes. A case in point is the George Michael collection, amassed by the late singer and his longtime partner Kenny Goss, due to go under the hammer at Christie’s in London this week. More than 170 lots will be offered across a live auction on March 14 and an online sale from March 8 to 15.
