Planning permissions for dwellings falls 14% in Q3

Planning permissions granted for dwelling units fell 14 per cent to 1,409, in the third quarter of 2013, compared to the same quarter one year earlier.

Planning permissions were granted for 157 apartment units, compared with 98 units for the same period in 2012, an increase of 60.2 per cent.

Planning permissions granted for dwelling units fell 14 per cent to 1,409, in the third quarter of 2013, compared to the same quarter one year earlier.

The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office showed that 1,252 houses were granted planning permission in the third quarter of 2013, a decrease of 18.7 per cent. Planning permissions were granted for 157 apartment units, compared with 98 units for the same period in 2012, an increase of 60.2 per cent.
