Plan to changed tax deadline delayed

A plan to accelerate the pay and file date for personal tax payers to September 20 or June 30, from the current October 31 deadline will not go ahead until at least 2015.

Finance minister Michael Noonan’s intention to bring annual Pay & File dates forward remains.

A plan to accelerate the pay and file date for personal tax payers to September 20 or June 30, from the current October 31 deadline will not go ahead until at least 2015.

Following a consultation process in relation to changes required to the Pay & File dates, the Minister for Finance has decided not to introduce any changes to the pay & file regime for 2014, according to a statement from the Department of Finance.
