Plan to build 140 houses and apartments

Builder Matt Gallagher has applied to build almost 140 houses and apartments in south Dublin, despite an oversupply of property on the market, writes Michelle Devane.

23rd January, 2010

Using a company called Glenamuck Developments, Gallagher has sought permission for a large residential scheme at Ashwood Farm on Glenamuck Road, Dublin 18. The planned development is on a 5.9-acre site beside Bective Rugby Club.

Gallagher wants to demolish an existing house and outbuildings and build 110 apartments in two blocks.

There are also plans for 29 three and four-bedroom houses in a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached houses, a 390 square metre creche and 250 parking spaces.
