Plans are being drawn up to open the Phoenix Park to buses and develop quality bus lanes running alongside traffic in the Dublin park.

The Quality Bus Network (QBN) project office, established by local authorities in the Dublin area, is preparing a concept design and evaluating various options for bus lanes through the three kilometre long park.

Navan and Cavan buses, as well as bus services to Castleknock and Blanchardstown, would reduce their journey times...
