One of the world’s oldest training companies has opened its 13th centre in Ireland.

Pitman Training, which has its headquarters in Britain, set up its first shorthand school in 1870 and the company claims to be the world’s ‘‘oldest and longest running independent training company’’. In 1992, it became known as Pitman Training.
