Pirate Queen finally opens on Broadway

The Pirate Queen, the new musical from Riverdance creators John McColgan and Moya Doherty, will open on Broadway in New York on Thursday after substantial revisions to the show following its troubled Chicago run.

The Pirate Queen, the new musical from Riverdance creators John McColgan and Moya Doherty, will open on Broadway in New York on Thursday after substantial revisions to the show following its troubled Chicago run.

The show’s budget has run to an estimated $16 million (€12 million) and has undergone considerable rewrites, after unenthusiastic reviews from American critics.
