Pick-ups fare poorly as Euro NCAP results are released

Earlier this week, EuroNCAP published the results from its latest round of crash tests for new vehicles. For the first time ever, pickups were tested.

Earlier this week, EuroNCAP published the results from its latest round of crash tests for new vehicles. For the first time ever, pickups were tested.

It may come as a shock that some of these vehicles fared very badly for occupant protection, compared with the average saloon or estate car.

As many more of these vehicles are now being bought as twin-cabs, for passenger transport, rather than goods, the decision was taken to include them...
