Peugeot ends 206 production

Peugeot has ceased production of the 206 at its factories in France as it prepares for the roll-out next month of its replacement, the 207.

Peugeot has ceased production of the 206 at its factories in France as it prepares for the roll-out next month of its replacement, the 207. During its seven-year production run, 5.35 million 206s were built worldwide.

However, the 206 is still being produced at the rate of 3,300 vehicles a day at six plants outside Europe, with new plants in Malaysia and China due this year. A saloon 206 will soon start production in Iran, where over 300,000...
