Pettitts group records 25% profit rise

Profits at Pettitts, one of the biggest supermarket chains in Leinster, rose by more than 25 per cent last year, according to new accounts.

The chain, which is owned by Wexford businessman Des Pettitt and his family, made a pre-tax profit of €2.9 million last year, up from €2.3 million. The company had retained profits of €33.1 million at the end of the year and the amount of cash it had on its balance sheet doubled...
