The small business minister John Perry, who is under pressure to resign over a €2.5 million judgment against him, insisted to The Sunday Business Post last year that he had "always been 100 per cent tax compliant".

Last week, it emerged that he had borrowed money from Bank of Ireland to meet debts to the Revenue Commissioners. Court documents showed that he was paying the Revenue in instalments, but needed an extra €88,000 loan to clear...
